This past weekend, Aishel Shabbat held their annual Chinese Auction, where I was honored with the Dedicated Volunteer Award. It is a privilege to be apart of this amazing organization, helping the poor & the hungry in our community; I am so grateful. 
I want to note that all I literally do at Aishel Shabbat is open bags. It's all I can do. It just shows you that something as trivial as opening bags can still have such an enormous impact. 
Whether it's as small as a dollar in tzedaka, an hour visiting the sick, a smile at stranger, you won't just feel great about yourself, but know that you're inspiring someone along the way. And when you're lucky enough to see the response you have generated - that penny donated, that minute dedicated, that small gesture exchanged - SO WORTH IT. 
I may not be able to do the things you do, but I can be recognized for my good deeds. 🏆
